Hi, I'm Betsy Hurley and I'd like to share my dream with you - my dream to become a member of the US Disabled Ski Team and race in the 2014 Paralympics.
I was born with a disability called Spina Bifida, which affects my ability to walk, and I am paralyzed from the waist down. Even though I use a wheelchair for mobility it doesn't get in the way of my mono skiing or any of the other sports that I participate in.
As I continue my journey to become a member of the US Disabled Ski Team, the costs of training, special equipment, travel to competitions and race fees can be daunting. Through the support of generous people like you, my focus can stay directed on my skills and training as a racer instead of worrying about the financial aspects of reaching my dream.
Any support you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you for visiting my site and listening to my dream!
The Bart J Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center
I would like to thank The Bart J Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center for their continued assistance with my on-hill training.
Without their assistance it would be almost impossible to get gate training and additional coaching while at home.
Please visit them on the web at BartCenter.com.
I would like to thank Bromley for their continue assistance with my on-hill training and equipment tuning.
I am proud to be able to assist them as they celebrate their 75th anniversary this season. Please visit them on the web at Bromley.com.
